The steam age

We made it back to the railway museum, this time on a weekend when they were running the steam engine.

It turns out that we knew one of the engineers, so after the ride I got to climb into the engine to look around. Oh my, so high up, I got up all right but I barely got back down. It was hot in there. There’s a furnace!

  1. Wonderful! I remember my brother taking me to the railway museum when I was little (he’s 14 years older than I am). He worked on restoring trains before, so he could tell me everything.
