Ah me. It is the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, the midsummer night’s dream. What do I have for you, what best represents this time of year here at Low House? A baby girl in an embroidered dress with a wreath of flowers in her hair? Well, no. Dreamy as that is, it isn’t how we do it here. We do this:
An 8′ x 8′ inflatable kiddie pool. We have a chlorine tablet in a bobber, a skimmer, and a small filter to run when need be. Mimi and I have been in it every afternoon this week and will be in it constantly until mid-September, probably. As long as the days are in the 80s or higher, we’ll be there. I have a TAN!
