Pudding’s Progress

Pudding would like you to know that she has worked very hard on her quilt the past few days. She has finally conquered the cutting-out phase…

And had a rest, to admire her lovely stacks of beautiful squares.

If you have ever done patchwork, you understand the importance of this phase of the process. Your squares (or rectangles, or triangles) look so perfect–so unsullied–so full of hope and promise that every one is perfectly perfect and all the corners will match.

Well, perhaps Pudding is a pragmatist, because, having finished this phase of the process, with all of its giddy optimism, and knowing precisely what must come next… she finds her mind wandering…

Hmmmm. What can a Pudding want, over there… I wonder…

I can has sweater?
