I definitely agree with Sparks. If you’re not going to have separate bathrooms, you at least need your own sinks and vanity space! It is much less stressful for me and my husband because we use two bathrooms, I can tell you that. I actually think I like the brown better–I agree with you about the accessorizing potential of it. Maybe you could do some kind of cool stenciling with it or do a stripe of a different color.

Heeeeeee….well, here’s a dilemma! I grew up in a pink bathroom so there are issues there for me! LOL

When you get a chance, take several of the paint swatches and tape them up in the room at different times during the day…to get a feel for how the color likes the room. That’s usually what I do. Leave them for a day or two…you know, take 4 swatches of the same color and tape them together to get a larger swatch…

They do too still make viols (or rather, violins) with drone strings! There’s the Hardanger Fiddle, from the Hardanger region of Norway, which has one drone string, a flat bridge, and four sympathetic vibration strings under the bridge that hum when you play. Oh, and there are sixteen pegs (8 on each side).

Sweden has something similar to a hurdy gurdy called a “nyckelharpa” and also known as a keyed fiddle. It has similar string set-up to the hardanger fiddle, but is keyed like a hurdy-gurdy instead of using fingers to depress the strings.

They both sound amazing!

Hmmm…..I am torn. But, I really like the pink. And, I agree with Sparks – separate bathrooms = happier marriage. (Works for me so far). So, I think you should go with the pink. Even if you do repaint and use primer, it’s not the biggest room in the house, so it wouldn’t be that hard. And you will feel so cozy in it!

The Long Winter story was even worse than what Laura published. Get one of the better Laura Ingalls Wilder biographies that tells the real story.

I believe the chronic malnutrition the girls suffered much of their early lives was why Laura was so short.

I’m so impressed you got pics of the mouse and that your hubby caught it with his feet.

I must say though that I thought my cat had the worst cat instincts, but the one cat-thing she does do is hunt mice. We actually woke up to a dead mouse delivered to our bedroom last week. Gross, I know.

*groan* My husband says that, when he pinned the mouse with his shoe, it stood up on its hind feet and gave Pudding a delicate kiss on the nose. Pudding has been crying and unhappy ever since–she misses her friend. What is WRONG with that cat???
