Marcus Brothers Madness

Well, I don’t have my camera, but I do have my scanner. So here are my new quandaries:

Bleeker Street by Marcus Brothers

Metro Blue by Marcus Brothers

These aren’t the kinds of colors that go with my house or my decorating, but they’re beautiful and I thought that the fat quarters packs would make good stashbuilders. I’m so full-up of quilting commitments that I’d like to sew something with these–but what? What comes to my mind are lots of little somethings, like book covers or handkerchief sachets. I definitely don’t need any more of either, though, and they just didn’t sell on Etsy. So what? An infinite number of lavender sachets, or pincushions? Please chime in! I need help!

  1. I just made a quilt using the Metro Blue collection. The pattern I used is Yellow Brick Road and everyone who sees it wants it! It came out just beautiful. Now my DIL wants a handbag made with these fabrics!

  2. If you are still interested in selling the Metro Blue set I may be interested. I fell in love with this line and my local quilt store sold out of it in less than 2 weeks! I missed out on some of the pieces that I really wanted.

I have made table runners, bags, lap quilts, and tie bags for walkers and wheel chairs. My folks live in an assisted living high rise and they are envied for their wonderful bags.

I think Metro Blue brings back memories of the 50′s for them.

You could also make up some things for a local nursing home and it would brighten someones day!

    Good luck

  3. Do you still have your Bleeker Street collection? If so, I would be interested in buying some / all of the fabrics – especially the light blue floral and the blue stripe.

  4. I would love to purchase your Metro blue collection to make a quilt (turning twenty) for my girlfriend..she fell in love with my pattern.
