Oooh, it’s my first post. How intimidating is that? Let me tell you about myself and what this blog is for:
I enjoy cooking, knitting, gardening, piecing quilt tops, and the occasional bit of garment sewing. I’m also fond of blue transferware, murder mysteries, and Mythbusters. This summer, I am going to buy my first house, move into it, and start a full time job. I am very, very, very excited about owning a house and starting a real garden for the first time, and moderately less excited about having a real-for-sure full time job (alas.) This blog will chronicle the more photogenic and less whiny parts of my adventures. I hope you’ll join me!
I have no husband and no kids (yet. gentlemen, I’m available). I have bachelor’s degrees in biology and English literature, and graduate degrees in linguistics. Even though I’m going to be tackling this house by myself and for myself, I hope to end up with a cosy, happy burrow to call my own.
Dates to watch:
June 29: I close on the house
July 20: I turn 27
July 24: The movers pack me up
July 25: I move in to the house
August 1: I start work
